A photo exhibition celebrating the Maha Kumbh 2025 recently illuminated the Meidling district of Vienna, Austria. Organized by the 'Photo Society,' the event featured around 50 striking photographs that captured the spiritual, cultural, and social essence of this major religious congregation. Indian Ambassador to Vienna, Shambhu S Kumaran, graced the occasion, alongside local dignitaries including Wilfried Zankl, district mayor of Meidling, and Walter Schuster, director of the School of Public Education.
The displayed images offered glimpses into key moments of the Maha Kumbh, such as the sacred Sangam snan, the presence of revered saints and sages, and the deep faith of devotees. Members of the photo society had personally experienced and documented the event held in Prayagraj last year. Attendees commended the exhibition for fostering a deeper understanding of Indian culture and significantly strengthening the cultural bond between India and Austria.
