Greenwich Entertainment has secured North American distribution rights for the indie drama "Magic Hour," directed by and starring Katie Aselton. The film, which also features Daveed Diggs, is slated for a theatrical debut on May 15 at New York's IFC Center, followed by a Los Angeles run on May 22 at Landmark Nuart Theatre, before expanding nationwide.
"Magic Hour" centers on Erin (Aselton) and Charlie (Diggs), a couple who retreat to the desert seeking to navigate a new, challenging phase of their relationship. The rendezvous, however, starkly reveals their distance, exposing a significant turning point in their marriage.
The script was co-written by Aselton and her frequent collaborator Mark Duplass, with production by Duplass Brothers Productions. Aselton expressed excitement about partnering with Greenwich, citing their collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for a theatrical release.
