Hasbro's Wizards of the Coast has announced the 2027 lineup for Magic: The Gathering, launching a fresh story arc within the Magic Multiverse. The upcoming sets include "Nauctis: The Sunken Realm," set to release on February 5, 2027, exploring an undersea world with merfolk and warring kingdoms. This will be followed by "Kamigawa: Titanbreach" on June 4, 2027, depicting a clash between the Kamigawa and Ikoria planes.
The final mainline set for 2027 is "Zhalfir," arriving October 1, 2027. This set marks the return of Zhalfir as its own plane, featuring the return of master of chronomancy, Teferi Akosa. Alongside these three sets, three unannounced Universes Beyond collaborations will release throughout the year. MagicCon events are also expanding in 2027 with four global gatherings planned: February 26-28 in Detroit, May 14-16 in Tokyo, August 27-29 in Las Vegas, and December 3-5 in Amsterdam.
