Mae Martin, a multihyphenate entertainer, is currently on their "The Possum" 37-city North American comedy tour, with a scheduled performance in New York on March 26.
Last September, Martin's Netflix thriller "Wayward," which they created and starred in, debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. rankings and remained in the top 10 for weeks. This success followed their earlier tragicomedy "Feel Good" and has led to a deal with Netflix for further show development and a stand-up special.
In addition to their acting and comedy career, Martin, 38, released an indie-rock album, "I'm a TV," in 2025. They also co-host the comedy podcast "Handsome" and had their first art collection, "Animal Paintings Volume 1," sell out rapidly on Etsy, with proceeds benefiting Doctors Without Borders.
Having started stand-up at age 13, Martin describes "The Possum" tour as "more raw" and reflective of current anxieties compared to their 2023 Netflix special "SAP."
