Tessa Thompson, Michael Shannon join Mikkelsen in 'Last Meals'

Mads Mikkelsen is set to star as Walter Karat, a former White House chef now working in a maximum-security prison kitchen, in Ramin Bahrani's upcoming drama "Last Meals." The film's cast has expanded with the additions of Tessa Thompson and Michael Shannon. Boyd Holbrook also stars.

Production is slated to commence this fall. The narrative centers on Walter's connection with an inmate, Reed, who refuses to eat, sparking an investigation into Reed's potential innocence. Thompson will play Hannah, a food critic intrigued by Walter's story, while Shannon is cast as Governor George Callahan.
