Madonna has the opportunity to become the first two-time winner of the MTV VMAs' Best Long-Form Video award. She previously won in 1991 and is nominated again for Confessions II: The Film.
This year's VMAs highlight four 'social categories': Best Group, Best Album, Song of Summer, and Best Long-Form Video. Voting for these categories is exclusively conducted via Instagram Stories.
The Best Group category features BTS, nominated for the first time since their hiatus, competing against BLACKPINK, who secured the award in previous years. In the Song of Summer category, past winners Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift are nominated once more, alongside Jung Kook, who has achieved wins both solo and with BTS.
Additionally, Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift are among the nominees for Best Album, with either potentially becoming the first to win this category twice. The VMAs, hosted by Snoop Dogg, are scheduled to air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Performers and presenters will include LISA, RAYE, Sienna Spiro, Shaboozey, GENER8ION, Yung Lean, and Snoop Dogg himself. The broadcast will be available on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+ in the U.S., with global distribution following on Paramount+ and MTV.
