During a conversation with filmmaker Farah Khan, Dr. Nene shared that he felt like an outsider at his own reception. He mentioned knowing only Amitabh Bachchan, whom he recognized from the film 'Amar Akbar Anthony.'
When questioned by Farah Khan about not knowing Shah Rukh and Salman, Dr. Nene confirmed his unfamiliarity but noted their kindness. He attributed this to his upbringing in Los Angeles, his lack of Hindi knowledge, and a greater familiarity with Western cinema.
