Madhuri Dixit Returns to TV Hosting After 24 Years

Madhuri Dixit is making a significant return to television hosting after a 24-year absence, taking on the role for Kon Honar Crorepati, the Marathi adaptation of the globally recognized 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' format.

Dixit shared her enthusiasm for the show, stating, "I am truly honoured to be part of a show that inspires people through the power of knowledge and determination." She views Kon Honar Crorepati as more than just a quiz show, but a celebration of curiosity, aspiration, and the courage to dream. As a Maharashtrian, she is eager to hear contestants' stories and see their dreams realized.

The show will air under the theme 'Aata Khel Badalnar,' signaling a new chapter for the quiz format. Dixit's previous hosting experience includes the reality show 'Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai' in 2002, where she acted as a matchmaker. She has also served as a judge on popular dance reality shows.

Kon Honar Crorepati follows in the footsteps of the highly successful 'Kaun Banega Crorepati,' hosted for many years by Amitabh Bachchan. While previous seasons featured hosts like Sachin Khedekar and Swapnil Joshi, Dixit is poised to bring her unique presence to the hot seat. She is noted as the second woman, after Radhikaa Sarathkumar in the Tamil version, to host this show in India.

The new season of Kon Honar Crorepati is scheduled to premiere soon on Sony Marathi and Sony LIV, promising an engaging experience for audiences.
