Madhubala's Shocking Demand Led to Kamal Amrohi Split

Kamal Amrohi's son, Tajdar, has shed light on the reasons behind the filmmaker's past relationship with Bollywood legend Madhubala. Tajdar disclosed that Madhubala had demanded Amrohi divorce his wife and leave their children. This ultimatum ultimately led to the end of their romance. "My father told her, 'We won't meet from here on because I sell stories and dialogues, not my children and wife,'" Tajdar recalled.

Amrohi's son further elaborated that his father refused to compromise on his family commitments. He explained that Madhubala, who was a major star and producer, offered a substantial sum of money to facilitate the divorce and remove his family from his life. However, Amrohi's refusal to abandon his wife and children marked the definitive end of their relationship, which occurred before his marriage to Meena Kumari.
