This made-for-TV movie was the first of two reunion films derived from the beloved sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie." In the film, Barbara Eden reprised her role as Jeannie, a magical genie who finds herself trapped within a bottle. Mackenzie Astin portrayed Jeannie's teenage son, T.J.
T.J. discovers his mother's predicament after his father, Tony, is away on a space mission. Although the film captured the attention of millions of viewers throughout the United States, it ultimately received lukewarm reviews from critics.
