Mýa Denies "Lady Marmalade" Catfight Rumors, Recalls "Good Vibes" on Set

In a recent interview, Grammy-winning singer Mýa has addressed the longstanding rumors of "catfights" during the filming of the music video for the hit song "Lady Marmalade" in 2001. Mýa, who was part of the iconic collaboration with Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Lil' Kim, says her memory of the experience does not match the established narratives of tension among the artists.

"I personally never witnessed any catfights, nothing," Mýa states. She adds that whatever was supposedly going on, she had no knowledge of it. Aguilera and Pink have also previously denied the speculation, with Aguilera stating that the group was "super professional" and each artist had their "own zone" on set.

Mýa fondly remembers the "good vibes" and the group's shared lunch break during the intense dance rehearsals for the video. She recalls the women going out for a "little lunch break in between this super sexy choreography" and enjoying "really cool, campy, chill vibes" together.

In addition to addressing the "Lady Marmalade" rumors, Mýa is also celebrating another milestone – the 25th anniversary of her seminal album "Fear of Flying" and its breakout hit "Case of the Ex."
