Luxbox has secured international sales rights for Dénes Nagy's upcoming film, "The Vacation." This collaboration reunites the Paris-based company with Nagy and his long-time producers at Campfilm, following their successful partnership on the award-winning "Natural Light." The film is set to be showcased at the 23rd Berlinale Co-Production Market, from February 14 to 17, as one of 35 projects seeking finance and partners.
Set in 2021, "The Vacation" centers on Feci, a Hungarian cattle farm worker, and his wife Klara, as they embark on an organized tour of the South of France. This trip takes them outside their comfort zone, marking their first time flying. A chance encounter with more experienced travelers leads to unexpected challenges when Feci must quarantine due to a COVID-19 test mix-up, leading him on a solitary, transformative journey through Provencal monasteries while Klara explores with her new acquaintances.
