LuckyChap Launches New Production Company in Europe

In a significant move, LuckyChap, the acclaimed production company founded by Margot Robbie and her partners, has launched a new venture called LuckyChap International. The new entity, established as a joint venture with the Mediawan Group, will be headquartered in London and will focus on producing international film and television projects.

Leading the new company as co-managing directors are sisters Mona Qureshi and Tanya Qureshi, both of whom bring extensive experience in the industry. Mona Qureshi previously served as a director of scripted series at Netflix UK, while Tanya Qureshi was a commissioning editor in drama at the BBC, working on acclaimed shows like "I May Destroy You" and "The Night Manager."

The partnership with Mediawan, a major European studio, is seen as a strategic move to expand LuckyChap's reach and tap into the growing production hub in the UK and Europe. The new venture will aim to "reflect LuckyChap's signature DNA" while also "tapping into the unique voices working in the UK and Europe."

LuckyChap has established itself as a home for leading creative talents, with a track record of producing award-winning films like "I, Tonya" and "Promising Young Woman." The company's recent projects include the Emmy-nominated limited series "Maid" and the upcoming drama "Sterling Point."
