Lucca Comics and Games, Europe's largest convention of its kind, recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. These attendees explored numerous pavilions, exhibitions, and pop-up experiences scattered throughout the city.
The convention floor buzzed with excitement for anticipated releases like HBO's "Harry Potter" series, though fans expressed mixed feelings about potential changes. The "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" fandom was strongly represented with cast and crew engaging with over 8,000 fans.
Additionally, the European premiere of the live-action "Blue Lock" anime and manga adaptation captivated audiences. Comic book royalty also made an appearance, with Frank Miller announcing a new collaboration inspired by Japanese horror stories, and Go Nagai being honored for his pioneering work.
A major highlight was the spectacular display of cosplay, with attendees dressed as characters from Middle Earth, Hogwarts, and numerous other franchises. This creative energy transformed Lucca into a temporary "Cosplay Utopia" for the duration of the event, which ran from October 28 to November 1.
