LSU Gymnast Livvy Dunne Celebrates 23rd Birthday with Extravagant Surprise from Boyfriend

On October 2, 2025, former LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne celebrated her 23rd birthday with a lavish surprise from her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. Skenes, who is also 23 years old, went all out to make Dunne's special day memorable, decorating their home with an abundance of light pink and blue balloons.

The highlight of the decorations was a towering cake made entirely out of balloons that nearly reached Skenes' shoulders. In addition to the balloon cake, Skenes presented Dunne with a bouquet of white roses and a beautiful blue and pink birthday cake. Dunne was clearly delighted by the thoughtful gestures, exclaiming "Oh my god" before telling Skenes, "Good work."

The couple, who have been publicly dating since August 2023, first met while representing their respective sports teams at Louisiana State University. Dunne, a gymnast, and Skenes, a baseball player, have been open about their relationship, with Dunne even sharing a TikTok video in July 2025 revealing an "invisible string" that connected them before they officially met.

As they continue to navigate their busy schedules and careers, Dunne and Skenes have made it a priority to support each other and maintain a healthy, balanced relationship. "We don't restrict each other from doing things," Dunne told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview last month. "We just have a good time and it's a two-way road."
