The majority of this viewership, approximately 1.15 billion minutes, came from the six new episodes of season eight that streamed during the period. Past seasons also contributed to the total viewing minutes across various platforms.
Love Island USA's success occurred during a week that also saw the start of the men's World Cup. Despite the sporting event, no other show or movie surpassed the billion-minute threshold on streaming services.
Sweet Magnolias on Netflix secured second place among original series with 806 million minutes, while Yellowstone's Dutton Ranch followed with 746 million minutes, experiencing its first weekly decline. The documentary Maternal Instinct led the movie chart with 665 million minutes on Netflix.
