Alannah Keyser, who recently joined Love Island USA for Casa Amor and formed a connection with Zach Georgiou, has been removed from the villa. Her departure, confirmed by Peacock ahead of episode 20, occurred amid controversy surrounding a video that allegedly captured her using a racial slur. The video, reportedly circulating online after her debut, shows Keyser lip-syncing lyrics from Roddy Ricch's song 'The Box.'

Sources indicate that the video did not appear publicly until after Keyser's appearance on the show, and producers were unaware of it during their vetting process. A friend of Keyser's defended her on TikTok, claiming screenshots were manipulated and that she never exhibited racist traits around him. He expressed uncertainty about the video's content and suggested the context of when it was filmed might be relevant, though he acknowledged it did not excuse the usage.

This situation is not unprecedented for Love Island USA. Vasana Montgomery was removed before season 8 premiered due to resurfaced videos of her using a racial slur. In season 7, Yulissa Escobar was removed after a video of her using the same slur went viral, and Cierra Ortega was also removed for using an anti-Asian slur. Despite these controversies, Love Island USA season 8 has seen significant viewership increases on Peacock.
