Love Is Blind: A Failed Experiment?

Former Love Is Blind participants are expressing skepticism about the reality dating series' effectiveness, particularly after attending the recent wedding of season 2 alum Iyanna McNeely to Alexander Lewis. Lee, who served as a bridesmaid, shared on the "Out of the Pods" podcast that the magical ceremony led her to conclude that "Love Is Blind does not work."

Lee elaborated that selecting one partner from a pool of fifteen individuals severely limits the possibility of finding a true match. Her co-host, Deepti Vempati, concurred, suggesting the contestant pool may not align with their current relationship expectations, as their personal standards have matured since filming.

All three women, Lee, Vempati, and McNeely, experienced failed relationships on the show. Lee and Shayne Jansen's engagement ended after the cameras stopped rolling, while Vempati and Abhishek "Shake" Chatterjee did not marry. McNeely, who married Jarrette Jones on the show, later divorced him and accused him of infidelity.

Witnessing McNeely's happy marriage to Lewis, however, provided Lee with a vision of what true love should be, distinct from the experience she had on Love Is Blind.
