Lorraine Kelly, a well-known TV presenter, has disclosed the unconventional methods she employed to initiate her relationship with her husband, Steve Smith. Kelly recounted how she intentionally got Smith intoxicated during a filming trip in Glencoe, subsequently making a bold advance. She humorously described it as a 'ninja' move, noting his lack of defense. This tactic proved successful, leading to their enduring marriage of 35 years.

The couple first met in the 1980s while working together at TV-AM. Their shared love for travel is a central theme in their relationship, often taking precedence over other forms of spending. They have explored numerous destinations, including Asia, Africa, and even Antarctica, where they celebrated their silver wedding anniversary in 2017.

Kelly also discussed recent significant changes to her daytime ITV show, describing them as 'seismic'. These changes include a reduced runtime and a shift in scheduling, with Good Morning Britain taking over a portion of her slot for 22 weeks of the year. Kelly expressed disappointment, primarily due to the impact on her dedicated team and potential job losses, emphasizing that her concern was for her staff rather than herself.
