Lorna Luft's Iconic Grease 2 Jacket Returns

Lorna Luft, daughter of Judy Garland, recently graced the TCM Classic Film Festival wearing her original Pink Lady jacket from the 1982 film Grease 2. The jacket, which had been in storage and went missing for some time, was returned to Luft after a woman who acquired it at a Paramount auction sought to reunite it with its original owner. Luft recounted the surprising moment of its return, noting that Olivia Newton-John also received her jacket around the same time.

Grease 2, which initially faced box-office challenges, was celebrated at the 2026 festival for its enduring popularity and cult status as a musical romantic comedy. Luft expressed her honor and gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the film's iconic opening musical number. She fondly remembered working alongside cast members like Michelle Pfeiffer and Maxwell Caulfield, and emphasized the fortune of sharing the set with Hollywood legends such as Eve Arden, Tab Hunter, and Sid Caesar.
