'Lokah' Surpasses ₹300 Crore Milestone, Faces Box Office Slowdown

As of October 8th, 2025, the Malayalam film 'Lokah' has proudly surpassed the remarkable milestone of ₹300 crore in global box office collections. The movie, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Kalyani Priyadarshan, has solidified its status as a standout blockbuster in the Malayalam film industry this year.

However, the film's recent box office performance has shown signs of slowing down. On its 41st day in theaters, 'Lokah' earned an estimated ₹15 lakhs, a significant drop from the ₹85 lakhs it earned on day 39. The arrival of Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara Chapter 1', which has taken over theaters across South India, has further impacted 'Lokah's footfalls.

Despite the recent decline, 'Lokah' remains one of the biggest Malayalam hits of 2025. The film's worldwide collection stands at an impressive ₹300.08 crore, with the India net total at ₹154.39 crore and the India gross at ₹180.78 crore. The overseas earnings, amounting to ₹119.3 crore, have been a major contributor to its "All Time Blockbuster" verdict.

In Kerala, the film's Malayalam version alone has brought in ₹120.64 crore. The makers of 'Lokah' have recently announced a sequel to the movie, which will revolve around Tovino Thomas' character Chathan, who will be facing a new villain. Expectations are high for the continuation of this successful franchise.
