The latest WWE NXT broadcast featured a notable debut from Lizzy Rain, the niece of late Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr. Rain, who previously held the PROGRESS Women's Championship, entered the NXT ring for the first time. She faced Nikkita Lyons and secured a victory after executing a move named "Thunderstruck."
Rain shared her inspiration, citing her uncle Clive Burr, who tragically passed away from MS. She spoke about her connection to his music, acknowledging her uncle's role in Iron Maiden once she entered her teenage years. Although she couldn't discuss his music career with him before his passing in 2013, she aims to honor his memory.
Beyond Rain's debut, the show also saw the appearance of former IWGP champion EVIL, who confronted Tony D'Angelo. Following EVIL's exit, Will Kroos attacked D'Angelo. Additionally, Kam Hendrix, Tristan Angels, and Tate Wilder made their NXT introductions. In a title match, Myles Borne successfully defended the NXT North American Championship against Saquon Shugars.
