Liverpool is preparing to welcome the Year of the Horse with a spectacular array of Lunar New Year celebrations. The city centre will be alive with color and culture, featuring music, street theatre, and buildings illuminated in red.
The main festivities are scheduled for Sunday, February 22, with a quieter program on Saturday, February 21, centered around Chinatown. Activities, running from 11:00 to 17:00 GMT each day, will include family workshops, Tai Chi demonstrations, unique stage performances, a fairground, and various food and craft stalls.
Further enhancing the celebration, firecracker displays and grand parades with traditional dragons, lions, and unicorns will take place on Sunday. A special procession featuring traditional costumes and performances is also planned for Saturday, February 14, moving through the city centre.
