6 May
Summary
- Lively and Baldoni settled their legal battle over the film It Ends With Us.
- Lively had claimed a toxic, sexually charged work environment existed on set.
- A joint statement highlighted pride in the film and support for survivors.

The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, stemming from the film "It Ends With Us," has concluded with a confidential settlement. This resolution was reached just before a trial was set to begin on May 18th, which was anticipated to last between six to eight weeks. Lively had previously accused Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios of fostering a toxic, sexually charged, and discriminatory work environment, along with a campaign to tarnish her reputation.
Baldoni had initiated a $400 million countersuit against Lively for defamation, though it was later dismissed. Earlier this month, a judge had dismissed 10 out of Lively's 13 claims, narrowing the trial's focus to retaliation and breach of contract allegations. Arguments had also been heard regarding expert witness testimony concerning Lively's claimed losses, estimated between $39 million and $143 million.
In a joint statement, representatives for Wayfarer Studios and Lively expressed their pride in "It Ends With Us" and reiterated their goal of raising awareness and making an impact for domestic violence survivors.
