As of October 8th, 2025, Live TV host Mark Consuelos, 54, has been impressing audiences by continuing to host the show despite a peculiar injury he sustained in his sleep. Consuelos explained that in August, he had a dream where he was punching in bed, and the force of the imaginary punch hyperextended his arm, causing a slight tear in his brachioradialis and bicep tendons.
Despite the pain, Consuelos has been "nursing this injury through September" and powering through the Live tapings, even participating in the show's physical "Do It Week" challenges. Consuelos' wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa, praised his resilience, telling him "All this time you've been working, injured, in front of America and Canada."
Consuelos acknowledged the absurdity of the situation, joking "You're just falling apart" and "You know you're getting old when you injure yourself dreaming. That's so pathetic." However, he also beamed with pride, telling the audience "I'm pretty much a hero" for his determination to entertain viewers despite his unusual affliction.
