Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul have released their first new track in more than five years, a vibrant cover of The Jacksons' "Can You Feel It." This release comes just before their headlining performance at the MonmouthNJ 250: The Concert on Friday, July 17, at ParkStage in East Freehold Park.
Stevie Van Zandt reimagined the Jacksons' 1981 classic, highlighting the talents of his band's female vocalists, Jessica Wagner, Sara Devine, and Lynn Lockamy. Van Zandt also revealed his incorporation of church bells and chimes inspired by Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" into the arrangement.
The Disciples of Soul's version debuted in December 2025 at the Hungerthon benefit concert. The group, which also includes numerous solo artists, will be performing live for the first time since 1999 at the upcoming concert, which also features the Jake Clemons Band and Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers.
