K-Pop Star Lisa Unveils 'Always Lalisa' Doc

K-pop superstar Lisa, a celebrated member of the group Blackpink, graced the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of her new documentary, "Always Lalisa." This film offers an in-depth look at the year following her decision to pursue a solo career.

In an interview, Lisa shared her ongoing exploration of new opportunities and challenges beyond her K-pop roots. The documentary, "Always Lalisa," spans from 2024 to 2025, highlighting significant milestones such as the release of her solo album "Alter Ego," her acting debut in HBO's "The White Lotus," and her performances at Coachella.

Directed by Sue Kim, the documentary provides viewers with rare access to Lisa's life, moving beyond the typical K-pop narrative. This venture into solo work occurred before Blackpink's return in February with their mini-album "DEADLINE." "Always Lalisa" is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 12.
