Blackpink Lisa Joins Don Lee in New Netflix Action Film

Netflix has announced "Tygo," an action thriller that will feature Blackpink's Lalisa "Lisa" Manobal alongside Korean action star Don Lee and "Squid Game" actor Lee Jin-uk. This film represents an expansion of Netflix's successful "Extraction" franchise, bringing Korean cinematic talent to the streamer's popular action series.

The movie is inspired by an original graphic novel and follows Don Lee's character, Tygo, a former child soldier who becomes a mercenary. After an operation goes wrong, he embarks on a revenge mission through Korea's criminal underworld. The film is penned by Cha Woo-jin and helmed by director Lee Sang-yong, known for "The Roundup" films.

This project is a significant debut for Lisa in a feature film, fulfilling her long-held ambition to star in an action movie. "Tygo" aims to inject a distinctly Korean identity into the global "Extraction" universe, promising explosive energy for audiences worldwide.
