Lionsgate Inks Global Deals for Unscripted Slate, Cineflix Secures Factual Sales

In the lead-up to MIPCOM Cannes, Lionsgate has announced a string of early international deals for its unscripted and factual formats. The company has secured sales for several titles, including the music documentary Andrea Bocelli: Because I Believe, which has been acquired by broadcasters in Israel and Croatia. Lionsgate has also sold the reality series Married to the Game, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of Premier League soccer stars' wives and girlfriends, to Amazon Prime Video (Scandinavia), Corus (Canada), and SkyFree (New Zealand).
Elsewhere, Cineflix Rights has reported strong sales for its latest factual lineup. The company has secured deals for its history and adventure titles, including licensing Bell Media's Vanished History series to broadcasters in Australia, Germany, Italy, Iberia, and Benelux and Africa. Cineflix has also sold the Canal+ series Commando Missions to networks in Australia, French Canada, South Korea, and others.
In other MIPCOM news, Banijay Asia, the regional division of the production giant, has announced a two-year collaboration with Netherlands-based Talpa Studios. The agreement will see Banijay Asia adapt and produce regional versions of Talpa's unscripted formats, including The Floor, The Quiz with Balls, The Alliance, and Most Wanted, for the Indian and Thai markets.
