- Missing persons report filed with LAPD eight months after last contact.

Linda Perhacs, the revered folk singer-songwriter whose 1970 album "Parallelograms" gained cult status, has been reported missing. Friends and collaborators, including musician Julia Holter and DubLab co-founder Mark "Frosty" McNeill, have issued a public appeal after losing contact with the 82-year-old artist eight months ago.
Perhacs was last seen at an assisted living facility in San Fernando Valley, California, where she had resided for eight years. She was discharged under caregiver supervision, and neither she nor her legal guardians have responded to subsequent contact attempts. Her former manager, Laurel Stearns, filed a missing persons report with the Los Angeles Police Department on June 6.
Despite police investigation, Perhacs' current status remains unknown to her friends due to privacy regulations. Perhacs, who experienced a resurgence in popularity decades after her debut, had her music sampled by artists like Daft Punk and Nas. She released her most recent album, "I'm a Harmony," in 2017, featuring collaborations with Julia Holter.
