Lily Allen Announces Vulnerable New Album 'West End Girl' After 7-Year Hiatus

In a major music announcement, Lily Allen has revealed that she will be releasing her first album in 7 years this Friday, October 24th. Titled 'West End Girl', the 14-song LP was mostly written by Allen and her musical director, Blue May, who also served as executive producers alongside Seb Chew and Kito.
According to a press release, Allen is "nervous" about the new album, as it is "vulnerable in a way that [her] music perhaps hasn't been before". The singer explains that she has tried to "document [her] life in a new city and the events that led [her] to where [she is] in [her] life now", while also using "shared experiences as the basis for songs which try to delve into why we humans behave as we do".
