Liam Hemsworth Faces Darkness in New Horror Thriller

Liam Hemsworth is slated to headline the action-horror-thriller "They Like The Dark," a project being presented as a significant genre package at the upcoming Cannes market. The film is directed by Mike Pecci, with Will Simmons penning the screenplay.

Scott Free Productions, alongside Gramercy Park, is producing the film, with Gramercy Park also providing financing. The plot centers on a half-blind bomb technician who finds himself chained in a warehouse, stripped of his memory, and must use his instincts and his service dog to evade terrifying creatures lurking in the darkness.

Production is scheduled to commence in late 2026. CAA Media Finance and UTA Independent Film Group are co-representing the domestic distribution rights, while Fortitude is managing international sales. This venture marks another high-profile project for Scott Free, with several other films in development.
