Twenty years after the events of 'Laguna Beach,' Matt Leinart and Stephen Colletti have publicly settled any supposed past tension between them. Appearing on Leinart's podcast, the NFL player admitted he was surprised when his name came up on the MTV series during its second season.
Colletti, who was dating Kristin Cavallari at the time, explained that Leinart, then a football star at USC, dated Cavallari. Leinart recalled receiving criticism from teammates regarding the situation.
However, both men emphasized that no actual beef existed. Colletti stated that they were simply 'two ships kind of passing in the night' and that there was no hidden love triangle involving all three.
Leinart had reached out to Colletti prior to the podcast appearance to apologize for any unintentional issues. Colletti assured Leinart that he had done nothing wrong and that they had both moved on.
Kristin Cavallari also confirmed the lack of hard feelings, with Colletti teasing a future special where the topic might be further discussed, noting that they had a lot of fun getting together after two decades.
