LEGOLAND theme parks are set to introduce Galacticoaster, a new indoor roller coaster with an exciting space exploration theme, scheduled to open in early 2026 at both LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California. This innovative attraction will allow every guest to become a co-designer of their ride experience, customizing their spacecraft's nose, tail, and wings using interactive touchscreens and RFID wristbands. With 625 unique customization options, each ride promises a distinct adventure.
The Galacticoaster experience goes beyond the ride vehicle. Guests will see their custom-built LEGO spacecraft projected onto screens before launching into a journey filled with special effects and nods to decades of space-themed LEGO products. At LEGOLAND California, the coaster is part of a new LEGO Galaxy land, featuring additional attractions, dining, and retail. These developments represent the largest single investment in each resort's history, with a combined cost of approximately $90 million.
Accessibility is a key focus for the new Galacticoaster, with wheelchair-transferable vehicles available. The parks are collaborating with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards to ensure sensory stimuli are carefully scored, reinforcing LEGOLAND's status as autism-certified centers. The commitment ensures that all attractions are welcoming and accessible for everyone, including designated quiet zones for guests who need them.
