In an exclusive interview, cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw reveals the process behind filming Ryan Coogler's upcoming supernatural thriller 'Sinners'. Set in the Mississippi Delta during the Jim Crow era, the film stars Michael B. Jordan as identical twins Smoke and Stack, who return to their hometown and encounter a group of vampires that wreak havoc on the town and the opening night of their new juke joint.
Arkapaw, who made history as the first cinematographer to shoot 65mm film in IMAX, worked closely with Coogler to capture the film's unique blend of genres. One of her favorite scenes features the dramatic entrance of the vampire character Remmick, played by Jack O'Connell. Coogler wanted the scene to have a grand, Western-inspired feel, with hints of Remmick's supernatural abilities.
Meanwhile, a behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming 'Wicked: For Good' film has unveiled Lego versions of the iconic characters Elphaba and Glinda, providing a glimpse into the creative process behind the highly anticipated movie adaptation.
