Legendary Singer Elvis Crespo Inducted into Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame

In a celebratory moment for the Latin music industry, legendary singer Elvis Crespo was honored with the prestigious Hall of Fame award at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards on October 23, 2025. Crespo, who has enjoyed a remarkable 30-year career, expressed his gratitude during his acceptance speech, saying, "I thank God for allowing me to live this unique and different moment. Crespo went on to dedicate the award to his family, including his mother Irene, who supported his musical dreams, and his father Diómedes, who recently underwent corneal surgery. He also acknowledged his children and the entire Latin music industry, stating, "You make lifelong friends here." Crespo's timeless hits, such as "Suavemente," which topped the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for six weeks in 1998, and "Tu Sonrisa," which reached number one for two weeks that same year, have cemented his status as an icon in the genre.
