Frehley, born Paul Frehley, co-founded KISS in 1973 and was known for his iconic "Spaceman" persona and makeup. After leaving the band in 1982, he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing several albums and becoming the only KISS member to crack the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 with a solo album.
In the weeks leading up to his death, Frehley had suffered a fall that caused a brain bleed, leading him to be placed on life support.
