An entertainment lawyer has strongly refuted claims made by a luxury store in Malibu regarding an alleged price tag switch on sunglasses. The store, Kitson LA, posted surveillance footage of the incident and offered a reward for the woman's identification, later naming the lawyer, Bianca Bezdek-Goodloe.
Bezdek-Goodloe admitted to being the woman in the video but denied any wrongdoing, calling the accusations "defamatory, misleading and inaccurate." She stated that she had pointed out a potential error in the price tag to the store and had gone to a nearby shoe repair shop for an errand while waiting for it to be corrected.
According to the lawyer, she returned to the store to purchase the sunglasses regardless of the price, but was then accused of theft. She also claims Kitson LA threatened legal action against the shoe repair shop owner to obtain her contact information. Bezdek-Goodloe provided evidence of her attempts to contact the store directly, asserting that the retailer escalated the situation by portraying her as a criminal.
Malibu Police confirmed that the store filed a report regarding the alleged shoplifting incident. Kitson LA stated they stand by their account of the events.
