LaVar Ball Confirms Split From Wife Tina After 30 Years

LaVar Ball announced the end of his nearly 30-year marriage to Tina Ball, stating that Tina "decided to go her own way." This revelation occurred during a June 24 livestream. Tina, who was a college basketball player and supported her sons Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo's careers, has maintained a low profile.

Tina Ball, born in December 1967, was an accomplished player in high school and college before meeting LaVar. She also worked as a physical education teacher and designer for Big Baller Brand. In 2017, she suffered a stroke that affected her speech.

LaVar Ball shared that despite her recovery, Tina chose a different path. He expressed no resentment, reflecting positively on their long relationship. Ball also disclosed that he has begun a new relationship, though he declined to share further details.

The announcement comes during a busy period for the family. LaMelo Ball was recently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. LaVar continues his recovery from major health complications, including the amputation of his right leg in March 2025.
