Latto Welcomes Baby After Secret Pregnancy Journey

Atlanta-based rapper Latto, born Alyssa Michelle Stephens, has announced the arrival of her child, marking a significant new chapter in her life. She shared an emotional video on Instagram detailing her pregnancy journey over the past nine months. The footage begins with Latto revealing her pregnancy to friends in Tokyo, followed by glimpses of an ultrasound at 13 weeks.

The video also features milestones such as showing her baby bump to family at 19 weeks and moments from her album creation process. Latto expressed how her pregnancy influenced the conception of her forthcoming album, aptly titled 'Big Mama,' noting that the experience led her to create the music sober. The album's theme became intertwined with her personal journey.

During her pregnancy, Latto collaborated with artist 21 Savage on songs and music videos, notably for her single "Business & Personal." Friends like Usher and Angel Reese were also involved, guessing the baby's gender. Latto, who is 37 weeks pregnant in one clip, shared her readiness to meet her baby and her commitment to being present.

Latto had previously announced her pregnancy in March, coinciding with the release of her album cover for 'Big Mama.' The rapper's journey through pregnancy, album creation, and impending motherhood has been a central focus, culminating in this joyous announcement.
