- Pausini to kick off promotional tour in Spain in March 2026

On October 21, 2025, Italian singer-songwriter Laura Pausini exclusively revealed details about her upcoming albums Yo Canto 2 and Io Canto 2 at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami. The Spanish-language LP will feature covers of hits by Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny and the late Mexican regional music icon Joan Sebastian.
During a lively conversation with Billboard's Leila Cobo, Pausini surprised the audience with a live performance of her cover of Bad Bunny's "Turista," a song she personally loves and finds has a similar style to her own. Pausini shared that Benito, as Bad Bunny is known, was touched that she chose to cover one of his songs. She also spoke about discovering the music of Joan Sebastian through digital platforms and being drawn to his songwriting.
The covers of Pausini's upcoming albums depict her as a warrior in silver clothing on the Italian version, Io Canto 2, and in a light, veiled dress on the Spanish version, Yo Canto 2. Both feature an imposing silver sword made up of three microphones, symbolizing her status as a Latin music icon.
Pausini announced that the promotional tour for her new albums will begin in Spain in March 2026 and continue in Latin America until June. The first single, "Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos," is a cover of the 1994 song by Italian singer-songwriter Gianluca Grignani that became a hit in both Italy and Latin America.
