The Latin Recording Academy is set to combine two significant events, 'In The Mix' and the 'Los Producers' gala, into a singular, grand celebration during Latin Grammys week. This consolidated event, scheduled for November 11 in Las Vegas, will honor professionals who have made substantial contributions to Latin music.
The evening promises a showcase of talent, featuring performances and appearances by artists such as Mon Laferte, Fonseca, Juanes, and Lila Downs. The event is produced by Sebastián Krys, a renowned Latin producer known for his work with artists like Shakira and Ricky Martin.
This special gala will also serve as a fundraiser for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Sebastián Krys, diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019, has made raising awareness and supporting research a personal mission.
During the event, Krys will be honored for his extensive career as a producer and engineer in Latin music. The collaboration between The Latin Recording Academy's Circle of Producers and Engineers and Los Producers emphasizes shared values of excellence and community support.
The Latin Grammys ceremony itself is scheduled for November 12, with Edgar Barrera, Karol G, and Rosalía leading this year's nominations. Several artists are vying for the Album of the Year award, underscoring the vibrant and competitive landscape of Latin music.
