- Colbert's final show airs on May 21st.
Four prominent late-night hosts gathered on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, May 11th, for a special reunion. This event preceded the series finale of Colbert's show, scheduled for May 21st.
The reunion echoed a previous gathering in 2023 during the writers' strike, which supported out-of-work staff. Continuing this charitable spirit, the hosts announced a new video episode set to drop on Wednesday, May 13th. Proceeds from this episode will benefit World Central Kitchen, an organization dedicated to providing meals for those affected by humanitarian, climate, and community crises worldwide.
The hosts engaged in a candid discussion about the impending end of The Late Show, the evolving landscape of late-night television, and the current political climate. They also participated in a lighthearted game, 'How Well Do You Know Your Fellow Late-Night Hosts?', sharing humorous personal stories and lighthearted revelations.
Colbert acknowledged that his colleagues have hosted their respective shows for longer periods and will continue their work after his departure. The series finale of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is slated to air on May 21st on CBS.
