Landman Stars Recount Harrowing On-Set Experiences

As the second season of the Paramount+ drama Landman prepares to premiere on November 16, 2025, the show's stars have been reflecting on some of the harrowing experiences they've faced throughout their careers. While the series itself showcases the dangers of the oil industry, the actors have encountered their fair share of scary moments, even if they weren't directly involved in the on-screen stunts.

Paulina Chávez, who plays the role of Ariana, recently told Us Weekly that she has learned a lot from just being on set and witnessing the dangerous work her co-stars perform. "We do some very dangerous work on this show. I have not done it personally, but to see it and hear the stories, I am like, 'Girl,'" she said. Chávez also acknowledged that the entertainment industry as a whole can be incredibly risky, something she didn't fully appreciate until taking on this role.

Tanner Beard, who is set to make his Landman debut in the upcoming season, was equally amazed by the authenticity of the show's oil rig scenes. "It's all real out there on those rigs. They're really drilling. It's crazy. I didn't even know that," he revealed. Beard expressed his excitement at being able to "fall in and be an actor" alongside the real-life industry professionals handling the dangerous work.

Other Landman stars, such as Colm Feore and Jaime Silverman, also shared their own harrowing experiences from past projects, including flying a plane for a film and navigating a treacherous marble mine in Greece. These stories serve as a testament to the risks and challenges that actors often face in their pursuit of bringing compelling stories to life.
