Lalit Prabhakar Transforms into Terrorist Ajmal Kasab

Marathi actor Lalit Prabhakar embodies the dreaded terrorist Ajmal Kasab in the soon-to-be-released film 'Prahaar'. Prabhakar has been receiving widespread acclaim for his uncanny transformation, though some initially cautioned him against taking on such a controversial role. He has been praised for his guts and versatility.

Prabhakar prepared extensively, studying Kasab's available video footage to capture his speech patterns and adopted a specific posture, slouching his shoulders and moving his neck back, to mimic Kasab's physique. He also delved into the psychological aspects of the character, aided by the film's writer and a book detailing Kasab's interrogation.

Ujjwal Nikam, who led the prosecution against Kasab, was reportedly taken aback by Prabhakar's resemblance and nuanced portrayal. Police officers involved in Kasab's capture also validated the accuracy of the depiction. Prabhakar expressed gratitude for the audience's support, which motivates him to continue choosing challenging roles.

Initially, Prabhakar was not considered for the role due to his Marathi background, but director Avinash Arun recognized his potential. Prabhakar also stated his desire to prove himself in Bollywood by taking on roles outside his typical background.
