From the renowned studio behind Coraline, a new stop-motion animated fantasy adventure has arrived. This enchanting film tells the story of Prue, a 12-year-old girl living in modern-day Portland, Oregon. Her parents, amiable hippies, believe in natural magic.
One day, Prue's baby brother is abducted by a flock of crows and taken into a mysterious nearby forest. Prue, accompanied by her classmate Curtis, bravely pursues them into this "wildwood." They discover a hidden parallel world populated by extraordinary creatures and humans oppressed by an evil governess.
This new tale offers Laika's distinctive, organic stop-motion animation, providing a refreshing change from typical digital visuals. While not as overtly frightening as Coraline, it delivers a charming and old-fashioned children's story about courage and confronting secret forces.
