Bollywood Magic: Lagaan Cast Hosts Real Wedding

The 2001 film Lagaan recently marked its 25th anniversary, revealing a unique event that occurred during its production: a real wedding on the film's set. Cast and crew members, including actor Amin Hajee, shared details of how two extras, Jamie Whitby Coles and Katkin Allen Coles, had their wedding ceremony incorporated into the movie's filming schedule.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta played significant roles, acting as the bride's parents and performing the Kanyadaan ritual. The wedding took place on the temple set that was part of the film's story. The entire Lagaan unit enthusiastically participated in traditional Indian wedding ceremonies, including a baaraat, sangeet, and games, ensuring the couple experienced a grand celebration.

The couple, Jamie and Katkin, desired an authentic Indian Hindu wedding. Aamir Khan facilitated this by arranging a priest and overseeing all wedding arrangements.
