Cohen's Gender-Swap Comedy Hits Netflix May 22

Netflix is set to release its new satirical comedy, 'Ladies First,' on May 22, 2026. The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen as a sexist man who finds himself in a world where women hold power after a coma-induced reality swap. He experiences firsthand the societal challenges and workplace struggles many women face.

Rosamund Pike portrays Alex Fox, his former employee who becomes his boss in this reversed societal structure. Directed by Thea Sharrock and written by Natalie Krinsky, Cinco Paul, and Katie Silberman, the movie is an English-language adaptation of the French film 'I Am Not an Easy Man.'

Rated R for sexual material and language, 'Ladies First' combines Cohen's signature comedic style with sharp social commentary. The supporting cast includes Richard E. Grant, Emily Mortimer, Charles Dance, and Fiona Shaw. Its unique premise and star power position it as a potential major comedy hit for Netflix this year.
