Lacey Turner will be making her debut on Strictly Come Dancing this evening, where she will discover her professional dance partner. The actress, known for her role in EastEnders, will have the support of her husband, Matt Kay, and their three children: Dusty, seven; Trilby, five; and Gipsy, 19 months. Turner met Kay when they were both 15, and the couple married in Ibiza on September 5, 2017. Their journey to parenthood was difficult, with Turner experiencing two miscarriages before the birth of their first child. This experience has motivated her to advocate for better support for parents who have suffered miscarriages.

Turner sees her Strictly participation as an opportunity to inspire her children, emphasizing the importance of bravery and hard work. "It's mainly for myself and my children," she stated ahead of the series. "I want to show them that you can do anything if you're brave and you work hard." She previously shared her struggles on the "Happy Baby Happy Mum" podcast, describing the profound grief of her miscarriages. After her second miscarriage, she and Matt Kay considered giving up on having more children, but soon after deciding to get a puppy instead, she became pregnant with Dusty.
