Feminist grunge icons L7 have released "Loma Linda," their first new song in three years. The track originated from a 2003 demo recorded with bassist Janis Tanaka. The band has now recorded new vocals and instrumentation for the song, which is available as a free download. "Loma Linda" marks a significant moment as the band prepares for their Last Hurrah Tour.
This upcoming tour will see Janis Tanaka rejoin L7, filling the bassist role after the passing of Jennifer Finch. Finch, the band's longtime bassist, died earlier this year following a diagnosis of aggressive brain cancer. The North American leg of the Last Hurrah Tour is set to commence tomorrow, October 6. Additionally, Finch's memoir, "Shooting Up and Making Out," is slated for a posthumous release in early 2027.
